STEVENSVILLE, Mich. — The Lakeshore Lancers’ 2026 postseason run came to an end on Friday night, falling 51-0 to a powerful South Christian Sailors team in the MHSAA District Championship game. Lakeshore’s special teams produced a highlight early when Alec DenDooven blocked a South Christian extra-point attempt following the Sailors' second score. Burgess scored his second rushing touchdown of the night shortly before halftime to send South Christian into the break with a 34-0 lead. The Sailors added two third-quarter touchdowns before Hudson Kerstetter capped the scoring with a 28-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
