The Lakeshore wrestling team continues to work its muscle as it marches to February. Lakeshore Head Coach Bruce Bittenbender feels a tough schedule, with many individual tournaments, prepares his team when it comes to MHSAA tournament time. On Saturday, the Lancers participated in the Jim Dewland Classic at Jackson Parma Western placing six individual wrestlers on their way to finishing third in the tournament.
Clinton, currently the top ranked team in Division 4 and the 2019 MHSAA Division 4 Runner-Up, took first with 266 points and Mason placed second with 208 points.
Remaining unbeaten on the year is Shane Williams (140). Also taking first place was Micah Hanau in the 135 division. The Lancers had three runner-up finishers with Cameron Litaker 112, Aaron Lucio 119, and Zeke Rohl 215.

The Lancers have a busy week of dual action which starts this Wednesday night at the Home of the Bears when Lakeshore battles arch-rival St. Joseph. Then, Lakeshore hosts its always loaded dual showdown this Saturday with the annual Super Duals.
