From Bridgman to Portage, the Lancers had a busy week of basketball as they played their third game in four days, with two of those games taking place on the road. Visiting Portage Northern tonight for SMAC West action, the Lancers looked to stay in the division race with a victory over the Huskies, and Micah Seats’ game high 18 points paced the Lakeshore offense to a 53-33 win. Other top Lancer scorers include: J.J. Bushu (12 pts), Dylan Clem (9 pts), and Ja’Kobe Young (8 pts).
The Lancers will host four regular season home games starting next week as Indiana 3A #7 Mishawaka Marian (13-3) visits Tuesday night. The Mattawan Wildcats come to Stevensville on Friday, January 15th, when Lakeshore Athletics, and the LHS Broadcasting Class, honors the 2018 MHSAA Division 2 Baseball State Champions at halftime with a ring presentation and the 30 for 30 documentary premier, “Back-to-Back,” following the game.
Lakeshore will finish the regular season with a clash of SMAC Conference titans when Kalamazoo Central visits on Tuesday, February 19th. On Friday, February 22nd, the Lancers close the regular season in SMAC West action against the Niles Vikings.
