The Lakeshore defense has not allowed a score in eight quarters, and the Lancers top Gull Lake 20-7. Lakeshore improves to 4-3 entering its second consecutive road game next week at Kalamazoo Central. Gull Lake falls to 0-7.
Lakeshore’s Kyle Wojahn kicked two field goals to provide the halftime lead for the Lancers. In the third quarter, Zeke Rohl rumbled in for the first touchdown of the game on the wet turf at Blue Devil Stadium. Then, Ja’Kobe Young took the jet sweep to the house in the fourth quarter to provide the 20-0 lead. With 28 seconds left in the fourth quarter, a fumble on the snap was scooped by Gull Lake to provide their only score of the game.
Just two regular season games remain. After the road game next Friday to Thomas Stadium, Lakeshore returns to Al Stockman Stadium for the regular season finale against SMAC West opponent Mattawan.
