Big quarters have gone for and against the Lakeshore Lancer girl’s basketball team this season. Tonight, the Lancers took Paw Paw’s first quarter punch, a 12-2 advantage, and delivered a third quarter strike of their own to the tune of 22 points while holding the Redskins to four points. Lakeshore held on in the fourth for the 44-38 victory Monday night inside Lancer Gym.
Hollee Hercik led the offense with 13 points, and Riley Pifer’s 11 points gave the Lancers two players in double figures. Jayden Schmaltz and Olivia Trivedi each added five points for Lakeshore.
The Lancers continue a busy home stand tomorrow night as the Bridgman Bees come to town for a 7PM tip-off. Then, in a SMAC West Valentine’s Day home doubleheader, the girl’s welcome Portage Northern at 5:30 in game one with the boy’s taking on the Huskies around 7PM in game two.
