Lanie Gage collected four hits in five at bats, as Lakeshore Lancers JV defeated South Haven 18-2 on Thursday. Gage singled in the third, singled in the fourth, singled in the fifth, and doubled in the fifth.

South Haven got things started in the first inning. A Woodall drove in two when she doubled.

Lakeshore Lancers JV pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Hannah Stankiewicz grounded out, scoring one run, Gage singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Tess Foster singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Lakeshore Lancers JV notched nine runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to doubles by Olivia DenDooven and Gage, a single by Stankiewicz, a home run by Claire Robinson, a groundout by Foster, and an error on a ball put in play by Olivia Bell.

Foster was credited with the victory for Lakeshore Lancers JV. She lasted five innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out eight and walking zero.

Lakeshore Lancers JV launched one home run on the day. Robinson had a homer in the fifth inning.

Lakeshore Lancers JV racked up 20 hits in the game. Gage, Natalie Spenner, Stankiewicz, DenDooven, Bell, Robinson, and Nurija Kanaci each had multiple hits for Lakeshore Lancers JV. Gage led Lakeshore Lancers JV with four hits in five at bats. Lakeshore Lancers JV was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Stankiewicz had the most chances in the field with eight.

South Haven racked up six hits. S Lyons and Woodall all managed multiple hits for South Haven.
