Laney Mead wasted no opportunities at the plate on Monday, driving in five on two hits to lead Lakeshore Lancers Varsity past Caledonia 8-1 on Monday. Mead drove in runs on a home run in the fourth and a home run in the sixth.
Lakeshore Lancers Varsity notched four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to home runs by Mead, Madison Cvengros, and Gianna Kerschbaum.
Anna Chellman earned the victory on the rubber for Lakeshore Lancers Varsity. She went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out eight and walking one.
J Becker took the loss for Caledonia. She went four innings, allowing four runs on three hits, striking out one and walking zero.
Lakeshore Lancers Varsity socked five home runs on the day. Cvengros put one out in the sixth inning. Mead had a four bagger in the fourth and sixth innings. Kerschbaum went yard in the fourth and sixth innings.
