The Lakeshore Lancer football team returned to Al Stockman Stadium for Homecoming 2018 against the Battle Creek Lakeview Spartans. After the Lancers scored on the opening drive, the defenses took over. The Lakeshore defense scored a touchdown of their own in the third quarter as the Lancers win 13-0 over the Spartans.
The Lancer defense took advantage of seven Spartan turnovers, including a fumble into the endzone, giving Lakeshore the 13-0 edge. After the Spartans drove deep into Lakeshore territory, the Lancers created another turnover to keep Lakeview out of the endzone. In the final minutes of the game, a second interception closed the door on the Spartans preserving Lakeshore’s second shutout of the season.
Jake Trivedi completed 6 of 12 passes from shotgun for 41 yards. Cam Dalrymple caught four passes for 23 yards and JJ Bushu added 18. Trivedi ran for 47 yards, Robbie Ebeling added 30 yards, and Treyjen Keim ran for 29 yards and one touchdown.
Lakeshore stops Lakeview’s two game win streak over the Lancers to improve to 8-3 against the Spartans. The Lancers travel to Gull Lake (0-6) next Friday night looking to increase their record to 4-3.
