Lakeshore outscored Coloma threw three quarters for a 44-31 lead. The fourth quarter proved to be a different story as Zach Goodline and the Coloma Comets blitzed Lakeshore for 21 points, while holding the Lancers to 12, but the final margin remained just slightly into Lakeshore’s corner for the 56-52 victory. With the win, the Lancers now take on the defending state champions, the Benton Harbor Tigers, this Friday night inside Lancer Gym.
Zach Goodline was responsible for 48% of the Comet output Wednesday night, scoring 25 points in 32 minutes of action. No other Comet had greater than nine points.
Lakeshore overcame the Coloma push late at the free throw line, and balanced scoring by Micah Seats (16) and Dylan Clem (15) allowed Lakeshore to outscore the Comets in the paint 42-22. Ben Brower scores eight points, and JJ Bushu added seven points. Lakeshore had the rebound edge 29-17, and they sank 13 of 16 free throws.
