Lakeshore Lancers Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-4 loss to Hudsonville on Saturday. Hudsonville took the lead on a single in the first inning.

Hudsonville fired up the offense in the first inning. Hudsonville scored two runs when Carson Price singled.

Hudsonville scored four runs in the third inning. The big inning for Hudsonville came thanks to singles by Payton Carney and Ike Irish and a double by Price.

Logan Siebers was credited with the victory for Hudsonville. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out three. Brayden Van Kampen and Caden VanDeBurg entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Brandon Rath took the loss for Lakeshore Lancers Varsity. He surrendered six runs on eight hits over three innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Lakeshore Lancers Varsity racked up ten hits. Ryan Soper, Riley Adams, and Cam Dalrymple all had multiple hits for Lakeshore Lancers Varsity. Dalrymple, Adams, and Soper each collected two hits to lead Lakeshore Lancers Varsity.

Hudsonville scattered 11 hits in the game. Jordan Wenzel, Michael Sibbersen, and Price each had multiple hits for Hudsonville. Hudsonville didn’t commit a single error in the field. Carney had the most chances in the field with 11.
