Multiple Teams · Lancers tap Strefling to Lead Volleyball Program


Lakeshore is proud to announce the hiring of Lancer Alum, Sarah Strefling, as the new Varsity Volleyball Coach.

Strefling comes to Lakeshore following two very successful stints as the Edwardsburg Volleyball Coach.  At Edwardsburg, she captured six conference championships, three district championships and two appearances in the regional championship match.  Strefling also coaches with the Kaepa Krush Volleyball club in the National 18 division.

Strefling received her bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Bethel College in 2004 and her masters degree in Exercise Physiology in 2014.  She is currently employed as the
Director of Beacon Health and Fitness South Bend and Mishawaka.

Strefling is a 1999 graduate of Lakeshore High School where she was a member of the volleyball team that advanced to two final fours and one state runner up.  She also was a member of the softball team that captured two state championships.

The Lancers have also hired Taylor Strauss as the 9th grade VB Coach for the upcoming season.  Strauss is a 2017 Buchanan HS Graduate and a 2019 Lake Michigan College Graduate.  Strauss was an integral part of the Buchanan and the Redhawk Volleyball programs.

There will be a meeting for all 9-12th Grade LHS Athletes and their parents that are planning to play Volleyball this fall in the LHS Team Room at 6:30pm on Monday 8/5/19.  Our 2019 Volleyball Coaching staff will be introduced and parents and players will have an opportunity to meet Coach Strefling and her staff.

Volleyball tryouts will begin on Wednesday, 8/14/19 from 9-11am for all 9-12th grade girls.
