For the third time in school history baseball and softball will both be making appearances in the state semi-finals (1995, 2010). The semi-finals will be held on Thursday June 15th at Michigan State University (223 Kalamazoo St. / East Lansing, MI). Click HERE for additional directions to the different areas on the MSU campus. The baseball and softball facilities are adjacent to one another and one common ticket area is used for entry into both.
The softball team will be making their ninth appearance in the semi-finals and playing for their eighth state championship. They advanced to the semi-final with a 6-1 win over Spring Lake. The Lancers will take on Ida at 12:30pm on Thursday June 15.
The baseball team will be making their fifth semi-final appearance and playing for their second state championship. They advanced to the semi-final with a 3-0 win over Allendale. The Lancers will take on Chelsea at 2:30pm on Thursday June 15.
Tickets for the semi-final will be $8 each and will allow you to see both games.
Parking will be $5 per car. The best options for parking will be the lots on the north and south ends of Spartan Stadium, the parking garage off of Harrison Rd (across the street from the Breslin Center) and the parking garage attached to the Kellogg Hotel.
As always, let’s show the rest of the state why Lakeshore has the best supporting fans in the state by packing the stands for both teams. Way back in 1990 when the baseball team won the state championship, radio coined it a “sea of red” and it has continued ever since!
Go Lancers!!!! #LancerUp
