Game Recap

The Lakeshore Lancers fell to the Warriors of Birmingham Brother Rice 24-20 on Hall of Fame Night at Al Stockman Stadium. The Warriors scored 21 unanswered points in the 4th quarter after Lakeshore scored 20 unanswered points through the 3rd quarter.

Offensively, the Lancers were led in the air and on the ground by senior quarterback Joel Brawley as he completed 6 out of 18 passes for 134 yards and rushed 22 times for a net gain of 65 yards and two touchdowns. The receivers were led by Connor Brawley with 88 yards on two catches, his longest a 58 yard catch that set Lakeshore up for their first score. Damian King caught two passes for 23 yards and Tre Costigan caught one for 22 yards.

Defensively, Jake Taylor tackled the Warrior opposition seven times with two tackles for loss. Cody Carlisle tacked on two sacks and five tackles, three for a loss, and Sean Branch added five tackles with two for a loss. Lancers were also led by Bray Plomb (5 tackles), Korbin Rolling, and Adrian Rolling (4 tackles). Kyle Wojahn intercepted two passes and Cody Carlisle added one interception for 31 yards that set Lakeshore up for their field goal just before halftime.

The Lancers fall to 6-1 on the season and return to Al Stockman Stadium for Homecoming 2017 next week against Loy Norrix.
