For the last 26 years, Lakeshore Baseball teams have worked to reach the pinnacle of high school baseball in the state of Michigan.  The 27th year proved to be the charm as the Lancers return to the Baseball State Championship game for the first time since capturing the 1990 State Championship.

The Lancers will take on Bay City John Glenn at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday June 17 at Michigan State University.  Lakeshore advanced to the championship with a 7-1 win over Chelsea.  Connor Brawley led the way on the mound scattering 5 hits and 1 run in a complete game performance.  Tyler Mojsiejenko had 3 hits, including 2 doubles, and an rbi.  Bay City John Glenn defeated Dearborn Divine Child 15-4 to earn their place in the championship game.  John Glenn pounded out 15 hits in the 5 inning affair.  Tanner Gilles led the way with 4 hits.

John Glenn is 35-8 on the year.  They are led by their junior first baseman John Hardy who is hitting .330 with 10 doubles on the season and senior outfielder Cameron Fowler who is hitting .400 with 24 rbis and 14 stolen bases.

Lakeshore is 35-6 on the year.  They have three hitters over .400 with senior first baseman Tyler Mojsiejenko at .460, senior outfielder/pitcher Max Gaishin at .455, and junior outfielder/pitcher Connor Brawley at .424.

The probable pitching matchup will be Max Gaishin (13-1, 1.77 era) for Lakeshore and Alex Dingee (9-2 1.56 era) for John Glenn.
